Best of 2015!

Best of 2015

Wow, what a year! 2015 has been a huge year for Gr8 Rides Reviews. During the year, we have driven literally tens of vehicles. These vehicles range from a small sedan, a large sedan, whatever the BMW i3 is, and a pickup truck.

Even though we have driven some very good and surprising cars, we have narrow down the list of what we have tested to the three best vehicles. Our reasoning for choosing these three is quite simple: all three either surprised us with features or value we did not expect or we just knew – being professional – that these vehicles are great (gr8 for people with short attention spans). Here are the three best vehicles from 2015. *Note: we are not including anything we tested for Midwest Motors since their vehicles are a step beyond great.

Front end Genesis

1. 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8L AWD

Want a plethora of technology in your sedan but don’t want to pay more than $50,000? The improved Hyundai Genesis checks every box. AWD? Check. Eight-speed automatic? Check. Heads-up display, rear-view camera, giant navigation system and adaptive cruise control? Check, check, check and check. Luxury is what the Genesis is all about with an almost Buick-like ride. Being a Hyundai, the Genesis offers incredible value loaded with technology.

2. 2015 Lincoln MKC 2.3L EcoBoost AWD

Before we tested the Lincoln MKC, we assumed this would be just a more luxury version of the Ford Escape it’s based off of. We were wrong. Very wrong. The MKC we tested had a fantastic 2.3L EcoBoost engine, which made the MKC feel peppy. The interior did have luxuriously soft materials and a layout similar to other Lincoln models. This handsome crossover can hang with the best that Japan and Germany have to offer.

3. 2015 Audi S3

It may be a small sedan, but the Audi S3 offers some serious punch. This turbocharged AWD sedan is as quick as a V8-powered Ford Mustang without the MPG drawbacks. If you put your sensible pants on, the S3 has the luxury you would expect from an Audi. Although a fully-loaded S3 can be more than $50,000, the S3 offers the practicality of a sedan with the performance of a sports car. If you’re looking for a car you can drive all-year-round with four doors and a turbocharged heart, the S3 is the only car for you.

These three represent the best that Gr8 Rides Reviews has reviewed in 2015. From everyone - a.k.a Anthony - at Gr8 Rides Reviews, have a wonderful holiday season and New Year. We will see you in 2016!
