2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV
An affordable Chevy with good range? How shocking!

With the unveiling of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Expo, Chevy has leap-frogged ahead in the electric vehicle frenzy. Being a Chevy, you would expect it to be priced…like a Chevy. Is it?
It is! After federal tax credits – which changes every time someone sneezes – the Bolt EV should be priced as low as $30,000. That is impressive, but not groundbreaking. No, the groundbreaking part of the Bolt EV is distance.
The competition from Nissan, Toyota, and others have their fully-electric vehicles out of juice at around the 100-mile marker. The Bolt shows all of them it’s taillights since it will go more than 200 miles! A fully-electric vehicle which looks like a regular vehicle – talking to you Prius – that can go more than 200 miles and costs a third of the cheapest Tesla. Looks like a pretty sweet deal to us.
The 2017 Chevy Bolt EV will be out in late 2016 and will be available for you to look at after you look at the various Camaros and Corvettes at the Detroit Auto Show.
